Run for Whitehouse

The run for the Whitehouse is neither a sprint nor miler but rather a marathon.  The individual, organization and party that wins will represent the future of our children, nation and possibly mankind.  I see in both parties a desire to win at all costs with candidates sporadically exceeding the moral speed limit to ultimately try to personally humilate their opponent at  all costs while deflecting such criticism to those misguided subordinates that work for them or some misunderstanding.  The organizational makeup of any candidate's team is a direct reflection of them and it is growingly evident what types of candidates we have running for the Office of President.  Lost in the frenzy are those citizens like myself that long for politicians that are truly statesmen and not actors playing a part that fits the moment and their own personal ego to achieve the highest and most powerful office in the world for personal gratification.  It would be nice to know of one candidate who acknowledges that fact and is trying to represent the instituion of the Presidency in a manner befitting that office.
Iowa and New Hampshire are two states that will not be the real measure of success. Each respective organization and ultimately the candidate's real vision, capacity to lead our nation with integrity and with a strong desire to strive honorably to compete fairly and openly for the Office of President will be the real measure in the final analysis of who they are and what they really represent. I have no crystal ball to predict who may win as politics in America is fickle but I will not be swayed by the media nor the sophistication of campaign managers but rather will intently watch, listen and observe the actions of the candidates and their organization to see really what they are truly all about.  Yes it is a marathon and who remains standing at the end may not be the real winner but rather a survivor... A survivor unfortunately that believes that winning at all costs is acceptable in order to achieve the Presidency.
When we sacrifce our very essence for something that originally was a well intentioned life time goal we have comprimised our standards, lost our moral fiber and ulitmately our self respect and the respect of all those that truly matter.  Let us be alert to the truth and act not on emotional bias but rather what is true, right and best for our children, our nation and possibly mankind. We need to be actively engaged in a good cause. I can not think of a better cause than really coming to know who are the candidates  and what their organization is doing to appropriately promote their candidate and then from a more informed standpoint we must VOTE.
